<a href="/music/artist/lady_gaga/artist.jhtml">Lady Gaga</a> turned 26 years young on Wednesday (March 28), and to help celebrate, MTV News drew up a handy A-to-Z guide touching on some of the most exciting things to come from Mother Monster. Read on and share your birthday wishes for the pop princess! A: April 27. On that day, Gaga will launch what's sure to be one of the year's most spectacular spectacles at the Olympic Stadium in Seoul, Korea, which brings us to … B: … <a href="/news/articles/1658379/lady-gaga-atlantic-city.jhtml">Born This Way Ball</a>! We were there when Gaga announced the name of the tour in Atlantic City, New Jersey, last year, and it has been hinted that we can expect an <a href="/news/articles/1675649/lady-gaga-born-this-way-tour.jhtml">"electro pop opera."</a> She had us at "opera." C: Castle. Mother Monster tweeted an image of the <a href="/news/articles/1678676/lady-gaga-born-this-way-stage.jhtml">stage design</a> for the tour, and the elaborate gothic castle has us excited. D: "Dark." Gaga's former creative director, Laurieann Gibson, opened up just last week about why she parted ways with the pop star, telling <a href="http://www.etonline.com/music/120256_Lady_Gaga_s_Former_Choreographer_Laurieann_Gibson_Details_Split/index.html" target="_blank">"ET Canada"</a> that Gaga's ideas "got a little dark for me creatively." E: <a href="/news/articles/1674731/lady-gaga-elton-john-duet.jhtml">Elton John</a>. The godmother to John's adopted son, Gaga has teased a duet with the "Rocket Man" singer for her next album. F: <a href="http://www.mtv.com/videos/news/717202/lady-gaga-has-the-title-and-concept-for-her-next-album.jhtml">Fernando Garibay</a>. The musical director behind Born This Way told MTV News that the new album already has a title and concept. G: Gothic. Veils, brooches and lots of black: Gaga has adopted a gothic theme for her tour, but also in her fashion choices. H: "Heavy Metal Lover." This jam has been begging for radio play; at the very least, the BTW cut should make it to the tour set list. I: Inez & Vinoodh. The Dutch photography duo were heavily involved in the spectacle surrounding Gaga's "Yoü and I" video, crafting awesome fashion clips after the official music video. J: Joanne. Lady Gaga's parents recently opened this Italian trattoria, named for Gaga's late aunt, on New York City's Upper West Side. K: Kinney, as in Taylor Kinney. The beautiful man who played Gaga's love interest in the "Yoü and I" video is rumored to be her real-life love interest too. L: Luc Carl. Gaga must still be on good terms with her ex-BF, because she recently tweeted a shout-out to him when he published his new book, "The Drunk Diet." M: Monster Pit. The special enclosed space within the Born This Way Ball stage where lucky Monsters who line up for hours, even days, before the show will be able to take in the concerts. N: Nicola Formichetti. The singer's new creative director will be her co-HBIC for the foreseeable future. O: Oprah. The talk-show queen is Gaga's new BFF, pretty much. She even tapped the OWN network boss to interview her not long after they launched Gaga's anti-bullying-focused <a href="/news/articles/1681289/lady-gaga-oprah.jhtml">Born This Way Foundation</a> together. P: Piano. One of the best parts of the Monster Ball was when Gaga would slow things down, chatting with the crowd and showing off her raw talent at the piano. Q: Quinceañera. Gaga's one-word Twitter response to a Little Monster who asked how she would celebrate her 26th birthday this year, never mind that it's the kind of party reserved for 15-year-olds. They grow up so fast. R: Red Wine. Widely known to be Mother Monster's alcoholic beverage of choice, alongside whiskey and beer. S: "Stuck on F—in' You." This unreleased and unedited track was leaked by Gaga herself as a Christmas gift to her Little Monsters. She recorded the naughty song on her tour bus last go-round. Can we get another? T: Tea. Gaga's non-alcoholic beverage of choice, about which she recently tweeted a lesson she learned: #KettlesAreForTeaNotFashion. U: Unicorns. The mythical creatures may not exist, but Gaga swoons for them, and why not? Fantasy is as important to her as reality. V: Video Music Awards. Is it too early to begin the campaign for her to blow our minds again at the 2012 VMAs? We'd even settle for <a href="http://www.mtv.com/videos/news/686557/the-born-this-way-vma-win-means-the-most-to-lady-gaga.jhtml#id=1669870">Jo Calderone</a> again. W: Wigs. Her supply is never-ending and will likely continue to fascinate us right on through her 26th year. X: <a href="http://www.ladygagaxterryrichardsonthebook.com" target="_blank">"Lady Gaga X Terry Richardson."</a> Amazing photo book. Seriously, check it out. Y: Yuyi. Will the mermaid join Gaga on tour this year? As long as the tour bus is sea-creature-friendly. Z: Z100 Jingle Ball. In December, Gaga performed a short-but-captivating set at New York City's Madison Square Garden that gave us a peek at what's to come on the Born This Way Ball.

Mike ?The Situation? Goes To Rehab

Mike “The Situation” has check into rehab for substance abuse. I watch the show regularly (shut up, it is a guilty pleasure, a wildly popular one) and Mike definitely seemed very sketchy this season. He was very sweaty, paranoid, and cranky. There was a definite difference. According to reports, Mike realized that he had a problem and was the one to check himself into the Cirque Lodge in Utah. He took to his blog to clear things up, I want to set the record straight. I have voluntarily taken steps to get control of a prescription medication problem I had due to exhaustion. I have spent the past several weeks getting treatment for this problem and recuperating from my work and appearance schedule. I appreciate my fans support and love you guys. Well, I have to give him props fro checking himself in, that takes guts. Those kids live a hard rock n roll life style so I am sure it takes a toll on all of them. Madonna Introduces ‘Amazing’ Avicii On Day Two Of Ultra Music Fest

MDNA superstar makes first UMF appearance as Swedish house producer cements status as an EDM standout with headlining gig.

MIAMI — Swedish house music producer Avicii is currently one of the most popular artists working in music — yes, in music, not just his native EDM. And that star standing was only reinforced on Saturday night when he headlined a gig on day two of this year’s Ultra Music Festival.

Avicii (born Tim Bergling) packed in every hit he could into his closing set on Ultra’s Main Stage. “Fade into Darkness” had tens of thousands of Miami fans chanting back the song’s catchy hook, as did his “Silhouettes” and Mark Knight’s remix of Florence and the Machine’s “You’ve Got the Love.”

Every hand was stretched sky-high in a version of air piano when the DJ/producer’s now-familiar chord progressions on the anthemic “Levels” filled the stage; they stayed up for his collabo with rising star Nicky Romero, “NicTim.” Plus, the main-stage set looked as good as it sounded thanks to the work of visual designer Vello Virkhaus. Fireworks and sublime, smoky lighting textures added to the ambience.

But to really understand just how big of a deal Avicii’s show was we have to take you back to the top of his set. As fans pushed closer to the stage — with virtually every square foot at UMF occupied, some resorted to climbing up into trees for a view — the set went dark and a taped segment featuring will.i.am, David Guetta, Afrojack, Carl Cox and Avicii came on. Each artist remarked on how popular dance music has become as Madonna’s “Music” played in the background; the clip appeared to be an excerpt from the brand-new UMF film “Can You Feel It?”

Toward the end of the segment, Avicii praised Madonna for using EDM beats in her past work. It then cut to Madge extolling the power of live music. Just as it began to occur to the crowd that Madonna might actually be at Ultra, there she was, striding to the front of the stage.

“Hello, everybody, I’ve finally made it to Ultra Music Festival,” she said. “I’ve been here in spirit for many years, but it’s good to be here, finally. In my world, music and dance are not separate,” she continued. “Electronic music has been a part of my career since I started, and I can honestly say, ‘A DJ saved my life.’

“How many people in this crowd have seen Molly?” she then asked with a coy smile, making a reference to the drug MDMA, which not only had the crowd roaring back at the nod to rave culture, but also happens to be a thinly veiled wink at her new MDNA album title. “Are you ready to dance? Are you ready to sweat? Are you ready to make some noise, mother—-ers?! This next DJ is amazing! Get ready for Avicii!”

With that, the lights came up on Avicii at the decks. Madonna then glided into the DJ booth to rock out with Bergling to her latest single, “Girl Gone Wild.” She stayed for the duration of the song, smiling, singing along and laughing with Avicii.

Of course, Madonna has always been a friend of EDM. After success working with the likes of William Orbit, Paul Oakenfold and Stuart Price (a.k.a. Jacques Lu Cont), she paid homage again to the club culture she loves over the weekend. (She even teamed up again with Orbit on MDNA, due out on Monday.) Two things were crystal at the conclusion of Saturday night’s festivities: EDM fans are ecstatic Madonna has come full circle in her career, and considering the pop queen’s co-sign, Avicii’s star has never been brighter.

Justin Bieber Joins Carly Rae Jepsen On ‘Ellen’

<a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/bieber_justin/artist.jhtml">Justin Bieber</a> is standing behind his girl. <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/carly_rae_jepsen/artist.jhtml">Carly Rae Jepsen</a> made her first major U.S. talk-show appearance on Friday's (March 23) "Ellen DeGeneres Show," and she brought quite the surprise with her: Bieber himself and an exclusive preview of <a href="/news/articles/1681664/justin-bieber-boyfriend.jhtml">his song "Boyfriend."</a> Ellen began the segment attempting to read an intro for Jepsen, the 26-year-old Canadian singer who won the hearts of pop enthusiasts with her catchy, upbeat single <a href="/news/articles/1681155/carly-rae-jepsen-justin-bieber-curiosity.jhtml">"Call Me Maybe"</a> but was interrupted by an eruption of screaming girls who caught sight of a black-and-yellow-clad Justin Bieber. The young heartthrob took the opportunity to introduce Jepsen, whom he recently signed to his Schoolboy Records label. During an interview with Ellen, Bieber recalled hearing Jepsen's track on the radio in Canada and jumping on YouTube to find out more about the "talented" singer. After learning of her local success, Bieber realized she was unsigned in the U.S. and immediately decided to change that. Life has certainly taken a 180-degree turn for Jepsen in the last two months. "I had never branched outside of Canada, and I didn't know how to do that, and then one miraculous day, Justin called," Jepsen told Ellen. "It seemed too good to be true." Bieber is taking his new A&R role very seriously, promoting Jepsen in any way possible, including dropping a video spoof of "Call Me Maybe" featuring famous friends Selena Gomez, Ashley Tisdale and Carlos Pena Jr. of Big Time Rush.
